Next steps
You don't need your life figured out, and you don't have to take it alone. Here's a simple path to follow Jesus — start wherever you are, and we'll walk it with you.
Everything starts here — not with cleaning up your life, joining a program, or getting religious, but with a Person. God made you, He loves you, and He made you for a relationship with Him.
But all of us have gone our own way. The Bible calls it sin, and it separates us from the God who made us. Here's the good news: He didn't leave us there. Jesus — God's own Son — lived the life we couldn't, willingly died on the cross to pay for our sin, and rose from the grave, defeating death itself. So anyone who turns to Him can be forgiven, made new, and brought home.
You can't earn it. It's a gift. To follow Jesus is simply to stop trusting yourself, turn to Him, and receive what He's already done.
“Jesus, I've gone my own way, and I need You. Thank You for dying and rising for me. I turn from my sin and put my trust in You. Be my Savior and my Lord. Amen.”
There are no magic words — God looks at the heart. If you meant that today, heaven is celebrating, and so are we. Tell us; we'd count it a joy to walk with you from here.
Baptism doesn't save you — Jesus does. But for a new believer it's the first, joyful step of obedience: a public picture of what's already happened on the inside. Going under the water pictures leaving your old life behind; coming up pictures new life in Christ. Jesus told us to do it, and there's real joy in going public with your faith.
You were never meant to follow Jesus by yourself. Real growth happens around a table, in real relationships — with people who learn your name, pray for you, and won't let you drift. Pull up a chair in a group: Kindred (young adults), our men's and women's groups, or midweek Bible study.
The table gets bigger when everyone brings something. God has given you gifts to build up the church and bless our city — and there's a place for you to serve, whatever your season of life. Honestly, the fastest way to feel at home is to help set the table for the next person walking in.
